How do you get new fruit on Animal Crossing DS, without going to another person’s town?

My friends don’t have the game animal crossing, for DS. How do I get new fruit? I have oranges… and i mail them to people in my town sometimes, but they always send me furniture! How do i get them to send me other fruit, like cherries, apples, etc? ( what are all the types of fruit?)
PS, i already have coconuts, so yeah 
Without going to another town for fruit there is only one other way to get fruit. That is by waiting for a long time, and eventually, or maybe even never, your mom might send you fruit.
PS, I’m a big Animal Crossing fan.

You just have to keep sending mail and/or running errands for them. There’s no sure way of knowing when you will be awarded fruit. It’s random.
1. Go and buy some stationary (letters)
2. Gather up fruit from your town.
3. Write a letter saying i like fruit or fruit. ( try both )
4. Put inside the letter a fruit you found earlier.
5. Send the letter to one of the animals in your town.
A few days,or hours later the animal you sent the letter to will send you a fruit. You can’t always guarantee it’ll be a foriegn fruit but it often is.

cherries
apples
oranges
pears
peaches
This cheat often works but not all the time….
